ISCC – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is a certification system that provides conformation of sustainable, deforestation-free and traceable supply chains of agricultural, forestry, waste and residue raw materials, non-bio renewables and recycled carbon materials and fuels. ISCC enables the independent third-party certification of materials in the chemical, energy, feedstock and food industries. The ISCC standards require the adoption and continued compliance with key principles and criteria concerning biodiversity and non-conversion of natural habitats and protected areas, labour and social issues governing farming and sustainable farming practices, protection of carbon-rich areas, traceability and measured and quantified greenhouse gas emissions and other optional extra environmental performance measures (chemical use, energy accountability in manufacturing, non-GMO use and other aspects) The following are some of the useful applications of the ISCC PLUS scheme, for products to demonstrate alignment with internationally recognised sustainability criteria:
The independent third-party certification, working under our partnership with the accredited company DoubleHelix, ensures compliance with strict criteria concerning biodiversity and prevention of land conversion, social practices, greenhouse gas emissions savings and the traceability of materials through the supply chain to the generation of the biofuel or biomass. Gap Analysis The accredited certifier, Double Helix can conduct a Gap Analysis to determine the current compliance and evidence that is missing to demonstrate your company’s compliance with the ISCC EU Standard. This is suggested prior to the certification audit to prevent a re-audit if your company is not confident of meeting the ISCC EU Standard. |
