Job Title: Sustainability Verifier and Project Manager
Location: Medius House, Sheraton Street, London W1 8BH, with hybrid working and travel to client sites as required
Role Overview
EnviroSense is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Sustainability and Project Manager to support and lead renewable energy, sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) verification and validation, and energy compliance projects across the UK and international markets.
The role is suited to a candidate with strong experience in the renewable energy sector, sustainability assurance, auditing, and project delivery. Experience in GHG verification and validation under recognised standards and schemes is essential, while knowledge or experience of ESOS and wider energy/carbon compliance frameworks would be highly advantageous.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering technical sustainability projects, managing client relationships, supporting business growth, and contributing to the continued development of EnviroSense’s accredited assurance and verification activities.
Key Responsibilities
Renewable Energy & Sustainability Projects
- Lead and manage renewable energy and sustainability projects from initiation through to completion.
- Deliver and oversee verification, validation, assurance, and compliance activities relating to:
- Renewable energy schemes
- Biomethane and biofuel sustainability
- GHG emissions reporting
- Energy and carbon compliance
- Support projects associated with:
- RHI / RO / GGSS
- RTFO
- ISCC
- ISO 14064-1 and ISO 14064-3
- ISO 17029 verification and validation activities
- Coordinate technical workstreams, project timelines, deliverables, and client communications.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Experience within the renewable energy sector, specifically biomethane.
- Experience with ISCC, RTFO, RHI, RO and GGSS
- Experience conducting or supporting GHG verification, validation, assurance, or auditing activities.
- Strong understanding of sustainability reporting and carbon accounting principles.
- Experience managing technical or compliance-based projects.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required both in the UK and internationally.
Desirable
- Experience with ESOS assessments and reporting.
- Familiarity with ISO 14064-1, ISO 14064-3, ISO 17029, ISAE 3000, or related standards.
- Experience with ISCC, RTFO, RHI, RO and GGSS
- Experience supporting accredited certification or verification activities.
